About ePortfolio California

ePortfolio California fosters and supports the development of life-long learning through innovative technology and collaborative education. The aim of the ePortfolio California project is to understand what is required to develop an electronic portfolio (ePortfolio) service with a fiscal and technical model that supports a statewide, scalable and sustainable program for California educational institutions.

ePortfolio California is focused on delivery, evaluation, research, and development of a vibrant and interconnected community of practice, expanding on the work of the Electronic Portfolio Action and Communication (EPAC) group. The team will also participate in supporting the interoperability standards work with the Post-Secondary Electronics Standards Council (PESC) and IMS, as they develop academic ePortfolio standards. CVC will also work with Stanford University to define, develop, and implement a research plan to formally evaluate the ePortfolio California project.

ePortfolio California is part of the California Virtual Campus, a project dedicated to serving the needs of distance education students statewide. The California Virtual Campus is funded by a grant from the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office. For more information please visit www.ePortfolioCA.org.
