ePortfolios are applications that support online collections of multimedia artifacts that students may use to learn and demonstrate learning, faculty may use to assess student learning or to showcase their own achievements for tenure review and institutions may use for self-study and accreditation processes. 

Institutions can use ePortfolios to:

  • Showcase faculty, students, and major achievements
  • Support their accreditation process
  • Assist program review and improvement
  • Provide information, data, analysis, learning products to document teaching and learning
  • Leverage selected knowledge-bases and information repositories
  • Track the progress of ongoing institutional projects
