The spring 2012 season of Exploring ePortfolio Technologies Series returns Wednesday, January 18, spotlighting seven new ePortfolio tools and how they uniquely enhance the teaching and learning experience for higher education institutions and their students. Each webinar session will be recorded and archived for future reference with accompanying product information (i.e., technical specifications, business operations) - for the purpose of growing a resource matrix for comparative review.

Trent Batson presents Taskstream beginning at 10:00am PST | 1:00pm EST. Click here to pre-register

"The fall series was so successful," says Patty Donohue, Program Manager for ePortfolio California, and co-organizer of the webinar project. "It positively reinforced and validated the need for this kind of community resource. Just like with any investment you might make -  whether it's a home, or a car, or a software tool - it's important to have a frame of reference for comparison and evaluation. That's our primary goal for this project and we can't wait to review the next round of tools and see what they bring to the table."

About the Exploring ePortfolio Technology Series

Based on feedback from a community survey conducted in spring 2011, EPAC, ePortfolio California, and AAEEBL will host a series of interactive webinars with leading eportfolio developers to see how their solution addresses eportfolio pedagogy. Sessions will include a short overview demonstration of the tool or technology, followed by an interview-style Q&A period where the developer will demonstrate how their tool addresses specific areas of teaching and learning with eportfolios.

Archives of the webinar sessions, product and IT information, and vendor responses to the community survey will form the basis of a comprehensive, interactive online resource that will be shared back with the community, encouraging further discussion and development over time. In addition, a companion series of vendor interviews conducted by Trent Batson, Executive Director of AAEEBL, will appear in Campus Technology magazine in October.

See the Exploring ePortfolio Technologies Webinar Series Resources here.

Stanford University; Gary Brown, University of Portland; Patricia Donohue, ePortfolio California; Trent Batson, AAEEBL; John Ittelson, PESC Academic ePortfolio Workgroup; and Judy Williamson Batson, AAEEBL.
