The ePortfolio California team is made up of experts in the field of educational technology who share a passion for improving teaching and learning.

John Ittelson serves as the Director of Communication, Collaboration, and Outreach for the California Virtual Campus (CVC), the technology innovation arm of the California Community College Chancellor's Office. He is also Professor Emeritus of Information Technology and Communications Design at California State University, Monterey Bay, where he was a founding faculty member. John represented the CSU, Chancellors Office as the lead on ePortfolio initiatives in the CSU System, and he serves as co-chair of the Academic ePortfolio workgroup, a national initiative of the Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council. John is a member of the board for the following organizations: Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration, The California Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Access Monterey Peninsula.

Patty Donohue is currently exploring emerging technologies as Project Manager for the ePortfolio California Project, a statewide initiative of the California Virtual Campus (CVC). Prior to joining the CVC, Patty spent thirteen years leading the sales and marketing efforts for PLATO Learning’s science education catalog business. Patty has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design from the California State University in Chico, where she currently resides with her son and daughter. “I’m intrigued by the opportunities that technology brings to education. The way we study, learn, and teach, are all being affected by new technologies. It’s an exciting time”.
